The Hall of Fame for Great Americans at Bronx Community College, the original "Hall of Fame" in this country, is a New York landmark institution founded in 1900 to honor prominent Americans who have had a significant impact on this nation's history. The Hall of Fame was originated by Dr. Henry Mitchell MacCracken, Chancellor of New York University from 1891 to 1910, and was designed as part of the construction of an undergraduate college of that university. I am so pleased that you’ve taken the time to peruse the Bronx Community College website. For the past fifty years, BCC has provided quality education to citizens from the Bronx and beyond. With students from 109 different countries, we are one of the most diverse campuses in New York City. Our welcoming atmosphere and individual support for all of our students makes this a wonderful place to feel comfortable and to learn. In the 10 years since I became the first woman president of the College, my pride in the educational excellence of BCC has grown with each year.
