The A.A.S. in Human Services is a terminal,
career-oriented sixty-credit degree intended for
students seeking employment after graduation.
The Council for Standards in Human Service
Education has indicated that an associate degree
in Human Services makes students especially
employable in many settings such as homeless
shelters, intake and referral agencies, nursing
homes, community centers and similar agencies.
Feedback from fieldwork site supervisors and
agency directors, as well as our own knowledge of
the field, has confirmed this to be true. Moreover,
two semesters of human service fieldwork and
training in Case Management give students the
opportunity to gain experience that makes them
attractive to employers.
