Times of crisis can also create new opportunities. BCC Cares is one such opportunity. In years to come, the members of the Bronx Community College campus will look back on the fall of 2012 as not just a time when a storm wreaked unprecedented havoc on our region. They will also recall it as the beginning of a new college tradition, the start of a campaign to establish a fund available to provide a measure of financial relief to any member of our campus community who has been displaced or otherwise seriously impacted by natural disaster, which has created a government-declared state of emergency. I am honored to help launch such a worthy campus tradition. I hope you will feel similarly honored to join with me as we make BCC Cares a campus –wide effort of which we and future generations can be proud.
Carole M. Berotte Joseph, President
Bronx Community College is establishing an initiative that will assist those who have sustained severe devastation from a natural disaster. We have implemented a program to assist students, faculty and staff with financial needs to help them acquire food, temporary housing, transportation, etc. The level of assistance will be based on financial need and availability of funds.
To support those at Bronx Community College who are in dire need, please consider making a tax-deductible donation. 100 percent of your contribution will assist those who need it most.
