iTunes U at BCC
iTunes U is the version of iTunes developed by Apple, Inc. for use in higher education. iTunes U is used by a growing number of universities. In collaboration with Apple, CUNY now can provide faculty with the ability to upload and store instructional podcasts onto an iTunes U site. Instructional podcasts stored on iTunes U can be downloaded to desktops, laptops, and to portable media players like iPods. See this Apple web page for more information about iTunes U. For an example of how iTunes U is being used, see this Stanford University site. NOTE: to view the Stanford podcasts, you will need to have iTunes installed on your computer.
To learn more about the CUNY/iTunes U project across the university, see the iTunes project wiki page. For descriptions of individual CUNY college projects, including BCC's, see the "Project Milestones" page. If you would like to participate in BCC's iTunes U project, or would like to learn more about it, please contact Albert Robinson for more information. Note that at CUNY, iTunes U is only available through courses using the Blackboard system.
