Meet the Staff
Stephanie Perez, M.S.
Stephanie Perez has over 20 years of experience working in the fields of social services and human resources management in both supervisory and management positions. She obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in Public Administration from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management from The New School for Social Research. Stephanie’s commitment to serving at-risk populations and those with barriers to employment has always led her to work for non-profit organizations serving New York City in the areas of mental health, special education and physical disabilities. Prior to joining Bronx Community College, Stephanie was a Recruiter for Birch Family Services, where she identified students and education professionals for employment in the field of special education.
Employer Relations Coordinator
Thomas Goggans has over fifteen years of experience in the non-profit sector. He has dedicated his time to job placement and facilitating career development workshops where he has helped students identify and overcome potential barriers to employment. He previously worked as a consortium manager for Health Start and has also worked as a senior case manager for the Harlem Congregation for Community Improvement where he successfully mentored participants, and helped them pursue college enrollment and to find long-term employment.
Job Readiness Coordinator
Passionate advisor who is a true cheerleader for education. Holds a Master of Science Degree in Career Development and has substantive experience working with multicultural individuals seeking essential job readiness skills in various educational settings.
Noelia Beltran-Polanco has over 10 years of experience in the youth services and career development fields. She earned her Bachelors in Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and her Masters in Public Administration from Metropolitan College of New York. Noelia previously worked as an Internship Coordinator at James Monroe High School in the Learning to Work Program. She is very passionate about the population and community she serves, and strives to help every student develop career goals based on their interests and skill set.
Jeffrey Herrera is a designer holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The School of Art+Design at SUNY Purchase. He specializes in branding, as well as design systems and user interfaces. Jeffrey’s interest in creativity is rooted in the intersection of form and narrative, bringing intent and empathy to emerging technologies.
Justin Mills is the coordinator of the office of Career Development. He graduated from SUNY Oswego with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2015, majoring in broadcasting and mass communication. Justin finds satisfaction in assisting students and playing a role in the success of their college experience while at BCC. His ultimate goal is to make sure that all students who contact or visit the department of Career Development are provided accurate information and led in the right direction to receive the assistance they need.
