| Leadership Club
The purpose of the Learning Community Leadership Club is to foster leadership/mentoring roles to current Learning Community students. To stay connected with the Learning Community population, stay in communication, develop group activities. Promote a sense of global citizenship, and responsibility within the college and the community. By solving social issues and becoming leaders of the world.
Qualification of membership: is open to all Bronx Community College Students.
Meetings: The club will meet on a weekly basis during club hours every Thursday from 12pm -2pm.

Recent Activities:
We are thrilled to be part of this new experience and look forward to assist and see this team of "greatness" grow. So far, five of the students attended a Leadership Conference at Baruch last month. They were excited to share what they had learned and are now interested in sharing this information with their fellow Learning Community students. On Thursday April 3, 2008 from 12pm-2pm they are conducting a conference called "Discover the leader in yourself." Were we are extending the idea of "greatness" within themselves. Lastly, the club decided to incorporate technology to as a mean stay connected outside of the club. We created an online network using Facebook.com. We are hoping we can extend this network to all the Learning Community students and faculty once we have the officers in place. |
