* In classes such as laboratory, health and physical education, art, or music which may be scheduled to meet for only one session each week, absence from one session incurs a warning notice. Absence from two sessions is the maximum permitted for the term. Absence from three sessions constitutes grounds for debarment from the course.
9.1.4 Reinstatement to class subsequent to debarment.
Students who are debarred in accordance with the provisions of this codification, may appeal their status to the instructor instituting the debarment action. Reinstatement into the course is discretionary with the instructor but should be based upon the following criteria:
Determination by the instructor that there is documentary evidence on file with the Registrar indicating that the student has been excessively absent due to unavoidable and acceptable reasons.
Determination by the instructor that there is a strong probability that the student, if reinstated, can successfully complete the course requirements within the time remaining in the semester.
