February 28, 2014--Brad Davis, an engineering major and president of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at Bronx Community College, has been selected to participate in the National Community College Aerospace Scholars project (NCAS) this spring. Davis is one of only 40 community college students from across the nation chosen to be part of the project.

NCAS is a semester-long scholars program, culminating in a three-day on-site event at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. Students will have the opportunity to interact with NASA engineers and other participants as they learn about careers in science and engineering. This project has been specifically designed to encourage community college students to enter careers in science and engineering in order to join the nation's high technology workforce.

Davis, expected to graduate in Spring 2015, hopes to continue his education and pursue a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering.
