BRONX COMMUNITY COLLEGE OF THE CITY UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK
University Avenue and West 181st Street, Bronx, New York 10453
OFFICE ADMISSIONS AND RECRUITMENT

Dear International Student:

If you plan to attend Bronx Community College on an F-1 Student Visa, you need to request an I-20 Form from the International Student Advisor's office. After you have been admitted to Bronx Community College, you need to take the following steps to acquire an I-20 Form:

1. Submit documents providing information about your means of support for the duration of your studies. If the funds are other than your own, they should include a notarized Affidavit of Support executed by your sponsor. The Affidavit of Support packet should include:

a) The notarized affidavit of support.
b) Official bank statement from sponsor.
c) Sponsors in the U.S.A. should also provide copies of their lease or mortgage, job letter and last income tax filed.

The average cost for an academic term of 9 months is:
Tuition and Fees: $4,655.00 + Living Expenses: $17,614.00 = TOTAL $22,269.00

2. Since the information on the I-20 form has to exactly match the personal information on your passport, you must submit copies of those pages on your passport that contain this information and the passport's expiration date.

3. The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services requires applicants for F-1 Student Visas to provide the school they will be attending with their permanent address in their home country and the United States address in which they will reside when they start attending college. Since Bronx Community College does not offer room and board, students are expected to make their own living arrangements and submit this information to the international student office prior to getting the I-20 Form from the school.

Please complete and send these requirements to the school's address, care of the International Student Office, LO 214. Upon receipt of all required documentations, we will forward to you the I-20 form, which you must present to the American Embassy in your country in order to acquire an F-1 Student Visa.

If you have any questions, please contact the international student advisor/DSO/ARO/ Martha Charles-Glenn by phone at (718) 289-5921or send e-mail to: internationalstudent@bcc.cuny.edu

Sincerely,
