(Overview)

 

Nursing is an exciting profession for men and women and the areas for nursing practice offer a wide range of possibilities. In order to provide safe effective care to individual persons, families, and communities, the professional nurse needs to be able to think critically, use specialized skills and demonstrate good clinical judgment. A Registered Nurse applies scientific principles in order to diagnose and treat the human responses to actual or potential health problems. The characteristics everyone considering a nursing career should have are: Creativity, Strong Analytical Skills, An Ability to Work with People, Compassion /Caring, and be Committed to Social Change.
