WAYS TO GET INVOLVED

Take Part in Student Life

The Office of Student Life is an excellent resource for students who want to learn about a variety of interesting programs, activities and opportunities. It is the one-stop-shop for information about upcoming academic and social events, leadership opportunities, scholarships and much more. Suggestions for future activities and feed-back for past events are always welcome. Feel free to come by the Office of Student Life and share your thoughts or use the Suggestion/Evaluation Form on the suggestions link of this website.

Support Student Government

The Student Government Association (SGA) works closely with the Office of Student Life and the Inter-Organizational Council to enhance the educational experiences of BCC students. The Student Government Association (SGA) is the body of students who are elected by their peers to serve on a council that advises the education administration on matters affecting students. The SGA can appoint interested students from the student body to participate in various committees that make decisions about important matters on campus. For more information, feel free to contact the Office of Student Government, Office of Student Life, or the Inter-Organizational Council.

Start or Participate in a Club

Did you know that hundreds of students are members of a range of diverse clubs and college-wide organizations at Bronx Community College? Clubs embody the soul of the college because they are student initiated, developed and lead. Do you know how to join a college club or start a club or become the President of a club? Feel free to come by the Inter-Organizational Council Office to learn more.

Serve on a Committee

Most official business at Bronx Community College is first discussed by committees or groups of faculty, staff and students from BCC. Every committee serves a specific function usually described by the title of the committee (i.e. Committee on Academic Standing, Disciplinary Committee). Members of both the Student Government Association (SGA) and the student body are important contributors to decisions made at college committee meetings. For more information about college committees, including academic requirements, feel free to visit the offices of the Student Government Association and Student Life in the Roscoe Brown Student Center, rooms 210 and 102.
