The BCC senate has fifty-eight members including fifteen students. Every member of the Student Government Association is also a senator with one vote in the BCC senate. The senate meets four times a semester on Thursdays from 12:15pm-1:45pm in Meister Hall, room 225 - dates are listed on the BCC calendar.

Committee on Academic Standing

- 3 students who are not members of SGA, to be elected by SGA from the student body
Functions include:
- Make policy regarding matriculation, attendance, advanced standing, grading requirements, requirements for degrees diplomas and certificates
- Adjudicate and take final action on student appeals
Curriculum Committee
(25 voting members including 4 students)
Student members:
- 2 students elected by and from the SGA
- 3 students who are not members of SGA, to be elected by SGA from the student body
Functions include:
- Establishes and evaluates curricular requirements for degrees and certificates
- Evaluates and approves new coursed and curricular, and revisions of existing courses and curricular
- Evaluates and approves all new programs to be offered by the college
- Assembles information on and develops procedures for all courses - both degree-credit and equated-credit

Functions include:
- Reviews and makes recommendations to Senate on policies and procedures for co-curricular activities
- Authorizes the use of the name of the College by student groups
- Recommends student activity programs to SGA
- Helps college establish and review rules of conduct and regulations in conformity with Article XV Board of Trustees Bylaws
Committee on Space, Facilities, and Physical Plant

Functions include:
- Consults and advises regarding allocation of space and facilities within the College

- Canvass students to determine problem areas in the instructional process which may be explored by the committee
