About the Foundation
The Bronx Community College Foundation was established in 1985 to build an endowment fund which can provide investment income, thereby enabling the College to maintain a level of excellence beyond that provided by tax dollars.
A national leader in urban higher education, Bronx Community College is committed to developing innovative programs and services which adapt to emerging technologies the needs of students and businesses, while maintaining involvement in the economic and cultural life of its communities. The faculty is renowned for excellence in teaching as well as for outstanding research and development projects.
The Foundation ensures the continuation of the record of excellence by providing support for student scholarships, faculty research, program development, community education and cultural enrichment.
Scholarships recognize the merit and financial needs of promising students; faculty research awards provide opportunities for faculty to conduct research and create resources for programs in the emerging technologies; and community education and cultural projects meet the needs of business, industry and the professions.
