
Dr. Ott has professional and research expertise in transfer student transitions and success. He is a former president of the New York State Transfer and Articulation Association and plays a leadership role in the Bronx Transfer Affinity Group.
For over two decades in higher education, Dr. Ott has been motivated by a commitment to both academic excellence and social justice. These two principles, he believes, are essential to ensuring that the intellectual, social and economic benefits of higher education are distributed to the greatest number of individuals and communities.
A Bronx High School of Science graduate, Dr. Ott holds an undergraduate degree in political science and philosophy from SUNY Geneseo, a master’s degree in political science from Fordham University and a doctorate in education from Fordham University.

Prior to working at BCC, Ms. Yusuf-Moore held several roles in the financial sector such as Lending Product Manager with Quorum Federal Credit Union where she managed the International Student Loan Product for Wharton, Cornell and Yale Universities. She also had a tenure of 17 years as the Financial/Lending Analyst with McGraw Hill Federal Credit Union which provided financial services for the PSC/CUNY labor union members, faculty/staff of The Fashion Institute of Technology and Research Foundation.
Ms. Yusuf-Moore holds a Master of Science degree in Finance from Baruch College, Zicklin School of Business, a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Computer Information Systems from Baruch College, and an Associate in Applied Sciences degree in Marketing from Bronx Community College.

Prior to her arrival at BCC, she worked for the Department of Education for 19 years (in NYC and Georgia) as an educator in Special Education. She also worked in the Office of Academic Affairs at Hostos Community College, taught GED math classes for over ten years and was a founding administrator at the Children’s Aid College Prep Charter School in the Bronx.
Ms. Acevedo-Coppa graduated from Hunter College, with a BA in media studies. She went on to study at Argosy University in Sarasota, FL where she graduated with an MA in Curriculum and Instruction and an Ed. S. in Educational Leadership. She is currently enrolled in a doctoral program at the College of Staten Island.

Sahidha Odige is Director of Academic Affairs at Bronx Community College. She plays a pivotal role in helping the College achieve its goal of preparing, inspiring and empowering students. The areas under her purview include The Learning Commons, the Mathematics Lab and the Writing Center. She serves as the CUNY-wide Coordinated Undergraduate Education grant coordinator, designing programs to increase student success and reporting the college’s accomplishments to CUNY central.
Ms. Odige joined BCC in September 2015 as the Academic Support Services Manager leading the BCC Learning Commons. She branded, marketed and expanded academic support services and supplemental instruction in this role. She also served as the Immersion Director overseeing developmental workshops and successfully assisting students’ academic progress through developmental courses in English, ESL, math and reading. Sahidha also secured over $1 million funding to support developmental redesign initiatives.
She has served the BCC community as Co-Chair for Middle States Commission Committee on Design and Delivery of Students Learning Experience; Campus Co-Chair for the CUNY Academic Momentum Campaign; BCC representative to CUE Council; Member of the BCC Strategic Planning Committee; Member of the Strategic Enrollment Management Planning Committee; Member of the Planning Committee for the Title V – HSI STEM Grant; Member of the Bronx Opportunity Network; HEO representative to College Council and most recently the Reoccupancy Committee.
Ms. Odige holds a BPS and MPA from The City University of New York. She is pursuing an Ed.D. in Community College Leadership at Morgan State University.

Dr. Montenegro attended Los Angeles City College before transferring to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he received a B.S. degree in Physics. He received a M.A. degree in Physics at City College of New York and a Ph.D. in Physics from CUNY’s Graduate School and University Center.
