BCCCDC provides a multicultural, educational, social, recreational, and nutritional program to children between two months and twelve years of age. The approach to education is based upon a developmentally appropriate curriculum that targets children’s own ideas and interests.

One of the first childcare centers within the City University of New York, we have been committed to offering excellent child care since our Center was founded in 1972. Located at 2205 Sedgwick Avenue, Bronx, NY, 10468, the Center offers affordable service to children of BCC students. We feel that the services that we render to the BCC students are of the utmost importance because students can continue their studies with peace of mind, knowing that their children are in a safe and secure environment.

WHAT BCCCDC OFFERS
Our Early Childhood Program Program is licensed to serve 66 preschool children between the ages of two and five years. We offer a free Universal Pre-K Program (UPK), funded by the NYC Department of Education, for 2 ½ hours a day that can be extended to a full day based on a sliding fee scale.

Our School-Age program is licensed to serve children five to twelve years old. It operates afternoon and evenings while the Semester is in session. During the month of July, we offer a summer program.

For individuals who are interested in becoming licensed/registered Family Child Care providers, we offer training required for individuals to get their licensed or to maintain their license.
