Integrated Skills Reinforcement (ISR)

This faculty development workshop program emphasizes the importance of having instructors at BCC integrate the skill of critical thinking and problem solving, the skill of applying technology to one’s college work, the communication skills of writing, reading, listening, and speaking, and the skill of researching for information that will enhance the students’ term papers and field reports, into courses across the curriculum.  Emphasis is placed upon early assessment of the students’ communication skills, as well as student/teacher assessment of—and feedback for—assignments given during the semester.

For more information, please contact Prof. Phyllis Read at (718) 289-5737.
