The HSC 12 (Human Services Skills and Methods) Thursday class is collecting gifts for disabled
veterans at the Bronx VA Hospital. Please donate new, unused deodorant, soap, razors,
toothbrush, toothpaste, lotions, combs, brushes, lipsticks or lip balm, playing cards, and
metro cards (in plastic if possible) to our veterans. Drop off locations are:
Department of Social Sciences Office, Colston Hall,
room 312, the Writing Center, Philosophy Hall,
lower level, and the BCC Library, Meister Hall. The
deadline for donations is Thursday, November 19.
Immigration Panel
Experts from the departments of Social Security, Custom and Border Protection, Motor Vehicle
Express, and immigration attorney Eugene Goldstein will address how their services may benefit
international students and undocumented persons. Tuesday, November 17, from 12pm to 2pm
in Colston Hall, lower level. Coordinated by International Students Office.
Celtic Feast of Samhain Celebration
Join the Irish Heritage and Culture Committee for an end of summer harvest celebration.
Historian Liam Murphy will be the guest speaker. Tuesday, November 17, from 12pm to 2pm,
in the Gould Memorial Library Rotunda. Refreshments and a light lunch will be served, but

Citizenship Application Assistance Day
On Tuesday, November 17, in Colston Hall, lower level from 3pm to 6pm, The International
Student Office will collaborate with the CUNY Citizenship and Immigration Project to host a
free Citizenship Application Assistance Day to help individuals who meet the eligibility
requirements to file the N-400 naturalization application. Free and open to the public.
Thanksgiving & The Bible
Campus Ministry invites you to come and share your understanding of Thanksgiving at this
challenging time in our nation’s history. Wednesday, November 18, from 11:45am to
1:15pm, in Loew Hall, room 422. Bring a friend, and come prepared to share your favorite

Alumni Art Exhibit
In celebration of CUNY Month, the Hall of Fame Art Gallery presents the 2009 Alumni Art
Exhibit. The show features published and personal artworks of BCC Art Alumni from across the
country. The opening reception is Wednesday, November 18, from 12pm to 2pm and all are
welcome. The artists will briefly discuss their works, and a Q & A session will follow.
Refreshments will be served. The gallery is located in Bliss Hall, first floor, and is open weekdays
from 10am to 2pm.
Free Concert
Gamelan Son of Lion will perform on Wednesday, November 18 at 4pm in the Gould Memorial
Library Auditorium. The program will include lively traditional and new pieces for Javanese
and Balinese instruments, and a short shadow puppet play. Don’t miss this exciting
performance!

Meet with CUNY Study Abroad program advisors, talk with volunteer program coordinators,
learn about scholarships, grants, and financial aid, and hear stories from BCC students who
have done it. This is an OCD credit event.
