CUNYfirst July Maintenance: CUNYfirst unavailable starting 7 pm on Sat, July 18

The CUNYfirst hosting partner has scheduled its monthly system maintenance the weekend of July 18, 2015. CUNYfirst will be unavailable for up to 24 hours.

Maintenance Start: 7 pm ET on Saturday, July 18
Maintenance End: 7 pm ET on Sunday, July 19

CUNYfirst June Close: CUNYfirst Unavailable starting at 9 pm on Tue, June 30

The CUNYfirst month-end financial closing activities for June will take place from 9 pm on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 to 1 am on Wednesday, July 1, 2015.

During this time the CUNYfirst Human Capital Management (HCM) and Campus Solutions (CS) functions will not be available.

CUNYfirst – which stands for Fully Integrated Resources and Services Tool – is a suite of software that has replaced many of our aging computer systems in the areas of Student Administration, Finance and Human Resources. The ongoing implementation of all CUNYfirst applications involves a multi-year process with CUNY colleges being brought online several institutions at a time. The new software continues to play a key role in helping the University realize its goal of an integrated CUNY.

    Featuring an interconnected University-wide system that effectively ties into and manages students' education and records; faculty/staff employment and benefits information; and all College business operations
  • Industry Best Practices
    Putting into place systems and procedures that comply with CUNY's common goal of providing the best customer service to our students, faculty, staff and community
  • Standardization without loss of identity
    Implementing common processes that can be accepted across the University while allowing campuses to continue their unique missions
  • Self-Service
    Making available modern systems and processes that allow the user more control and flexibility
  • Accurate and timely information to better serve students, faculty and staff
    Accessing information in real time
  • Replacement of aging computer systems
    Retiring systems that have reached their capacity and replacing them with the most modern educational and business systems

Whom does CUNYfirst affect?

Everyone in CUNY. Students, faculty and staff are all affected in a positive way. With this integration, students' records are linked to business and finance systems, and personnel records for faculty and staff are connected University-wide.

What areas have acquired new systems?

CUNYfirst consists of three main sections: Campus Solutions (Student Administration), Human Resources and Finance. In each of these sections, new systems have changed the way we do business in a number of key areas:

As new CUNYfirst applications have been launched, various members of the BCC community, including students, have been trained on how to use the tools they need to succeed at Bronx Community College.
