CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Bronx Community College is seeking applicants for a full-time position as a College Laboratory Technician. The selected candidate will report to the Department Chair and perform highly skilled laboratory functions and other technical duties in support of coursework and research.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Coordinate purchase orders, maintenance, repair and use of lab equipment/supplies.
Maintain and upgrade software in multiple computers in labs and classrooms managed by the Department.
Coordinate with faculty to schedule computer laboratory classes and practice sessions for students.
Set-up of equipment displays, demonstrations and computer lab support for classes and student projects and research.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma with a minimum of four years' related experience. Additional education may be used to meet the experience requirement: an Associate degree may be substituted for two years experience, and a Bachelor's degree may be substituted for four years experience.

COMPENSATION

$40,627 - $60,561; commensurate with experience and qualifications.
