POSITION DETAILS

Bronx Community College, a member of The City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), seeks an Athletic Trainer. This part-time position services our student-athletes primarily at home games, practices, and during office hours weekly.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A Master’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field

• Ability to administer pre-participation physicals is a bonus

REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• A minimum of 2 to 4 years of related experience and requisite
certifications are required

• Care and rehabilitation for athletic injuries and recovery
programs for student-athletes

• Developing and implementing individualized rehabilitation programs

• Consult with coaching staff regarding injuries, rehabilitation,
and strength and conditioning

• Document all injuries and rehabilitation, communicating with
opposing administrators when necessary

• Possess and maintain ATC, NATA and CPR/AED certifications

• Organizing, administrating, and stocking athletic training room

• Liaison to the student-athletes and the provider regarding
athletics insurance

• Ability to communicate with and treat a diverse student-athlete
demographic

COMPENSATION

$20,000 (15 to 25 hours per week is required)
