Readmit Students

The current readmission fee is $20.00 payable at the Bursar's Office, Colston Hall [CO], Main Lobby.

The $20.00 re-admission fee is non-refundable.

Readmission Application
  • Students who have left BCC after one or more semesters must apply for readmission.
  • Readmission Applications can be downloaded online or completed at the Registrar's Office, Colston Hall [CO], Room 513.
  • If a student has any "STOPS" on their record, it must be cleared prior to submitting the Readmission Application.

Academic Planning

Students who have attended another college during their absence from BCC may be eligible for transfer credits. Students should send an official transcript for review to

If your cumulative grade point average is 2.0 or higher, you will be notified of the status of your application in writing.

If your cumulative grade point average is below 2.0, you must meet with a Probation Advisor prior to submitting the Readmission Application. The Probation Advisor is located in Academic Success Center, Sage Hall [SA], 2nd floor, or call 718.289.5401 for an appointment.

Residency Requirements for Tuition Purposes 

Students who are returning to BCC after one year of absence must prove New York State and New York City residency. Click here for Residency for Tuition Purposes document.

If you live in New York State, but not in the five boroughs of New York City, you may qualify for resident tuition by submitting a Certificate of Residency. To obtain a Certificate of Residency, contact the County Clerk or Department of Finance in your home county.
