Admissions
In order to apply to BCC, you need to apply through CUNY’s online application. For important information to help get you started, visit the BCC Office of Admission and Recruitment website. The office is located in Loew Hall, room 224, and they can be reached by phone at 718-289-5895 or e-mail at admission@bcc.cuny.edu.
Readmission
If you were previously a student at BCC and want to be readmitted to the College, visit the Registrar’s Office (Colston Hall, room 513) to begin the process. You will also need to pay a readmit fee at the Bursar’s Office, which is located at the main entrance to Colston Hall.
Tuition Waiver
If you are a veteran of the United States military, currently on active duty, or a member of the National Guard or Reserves, you do not have to pay the undergraduate application fee. For more information, click here.
Military and High School Transcripts
The CUNY application requires you to provide your official academic transcripts. Use these links to access transcript systems for the various branches:
Transfer Students with Less Than 24 Credits
If you are a transfer student who has less than 24 credits, you will need to provide an official copy of your college transcript(s), a copy of your high school diploma and a copy of your official high school transcript to BCC’s Office of Admission and Recruitment.
Credits for Military Service and Professional Military Education
Under certain circumstances, BCC may award you school credit for professional military education and/or military service. To learn more about this process, speak to a member of our team at the Veterans Affairs Resource Center at 718-289-5447.
Immunization Records
You will need to provide proof of immunization for measles, mumps and rubella (MMR), or your blood results for immunity tests through the military (if you are still active) or through the VA. To learn more about immunization requirements at CUNY, click here.

If appropriate, apply for the NYS Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) and Veterans Tuition Award (VTA). (Please note that if you are eligible for 100% of your tuition and fees to be paid by the VA, you may not be eligible for TAP or VTA.)
