Instructional Technology Tutor (ITA) Program
The Instructional Technology Tutor (ITA) program provides BCC students and graduates with an opportunity to gain valuable skills and experience as educational technologists and tutors. Instructional Technology Tutors are trained in tutoring techniques and in the use of hardware and software, and are then assigned to work with faculty and students in departments, courses or specific classes. ITAs are both content tutors and technology assistants. They perform tasks that help faculty and students utilize technology and also tutor their peers in course material. ITA candidates currently enrolled at BCC must have a 3.0 GPA. They may be recommended for the program by a faculty member or apply on their own, though all candidates must provide a faculty reference. The maximum workload is 19 hours per week.
