Current Projects

Below is a listing of capital projects under construction with their estimated date of completion.

2011 Renovate the cafeteria dining areas; relocate the bookstore to the first floor adjacent to the building entrance; install ADA compliant entrance ramp, entry doors and elevator; provision at the second floor of meeting rooms and eating areas; and installation of new air conditioning equipment to serve renovated spaces.
2011 Design and construction of a new 13,000 gsf child care center building. There are six classrooms, a multi-purpose room, offices, and a parent lounge. The facility is designed to house a pre-school program.
2011 Replacement of all the roofs at South Hall and restoration of the gutter and wood trim.
2011 Alumni Gym Hot Water Heaters Replacement of the domestic hot water heating system. The new equipment will convert high temperature hot water from the central plant to domestic hot water to heat the pool and supply the building locker room showers and toilet facilities.
2012 Meister/Colston Halls LL-11 Facade Repair/Environmental Abatement Project Facade repairs to comply with Local Law 11 requirements. The facade work includes repairs to the concrete, brick, and slate sills; replacement of flashing; and resealing of joints.
2012 Campus-wide Utility Program Phase I This project will replace the campus’ aging high temperature hot water supply system and install a new chiller plant for the supply of chilled water for air conditioning.

This project will make the campus more energy efficient by upgrading central heating and cooling equipment and improving the condition and insulation of distribution piping.
2012 New 100,000 gsf classroom and library building. There will be 15 classrooms on the ground floor and the library will occupy the second and third floors. The library will include an “Information Commons,” where students will have access to electronic information resources, spaces for group and individual study, and offices for library staff and faculty. The third floor will house book stacks with seating for quiet study.
