Title IX Training: Student Athletic/Association/Club Training Sessions

Available Seats = 30 | Waiting List = 0

The Department of Education’s Title IX regulations have always required that institutions designate someone on campus to coordinate Title IX compliance. The April 4, 2011, Dear Colleague Letter (“DCL”) formalizes the Title IX Coordinator’s role and confirms its importance to the entire campus community. In response to this action, the College has created a Title IX team to address and educate the campus community on the procedures, policies, and resources in addressing campus matters related to sexual harassment, sexual assault and/or violence for athletic employees and student athletes.

Description: This session is designed specifically to address the role and responsibilities of the College with Title IX compliance for student athletic departments and its participants, and to learn about the key responsibilities of a student athlete and athletic employee when confronted with a situation that can potentially challenge the University Policy on Sexual Misconduct.
