Public Safety

College ID Program

Bronx Community College has embarked on a renewed program that requires all members of the community to prominently display their college identification card. Wearing identification cards enhances the feeling of safety and well-being for everyone. Accordingly, any persons not wearing an identification card or visitors pass, may be stopped by Public Safety Personnel to determine their authority to be on campus.

Entry at the University Avenue gate will be restricted to persons who produce Bronx Community College identification. Visitors and any other individuals who do not present a BCC ID will only be permitted to enter the campus at the main entrance located on Hall of Fame Terrace where they will produce another form of identification, be signed in by a Public Safety officer and issued a temporary pass.

In the past, there have been instances where persons have been allowed the use of facilities after producing other types of ID (i.e. driver's license, passport, etc.). It would greatly benefit this new effort if only valid College ID be accepted for use of the College's facilities.

Persons without valid ID should be directed to the CUNYCARD ID room in Colston Hall to obtain or validate ID cards.

Your cooperation will contribute to the program and is much appreciated.
