Clemment Drummond

Clement Drummond
Director of Automotive Technology

Clement Drummond is the director of the Automotive Technology program at Bronx Community College and has over 35 years of automotive experience. He is well known in the alternative fuels arena for the development of the first two natural gas buses. In addition, he managed KeySpan’s Natural Gas Vehicle Program. Mr. Drummond has received numerous industry awards, including being entered into the Automotive Hall of Fame and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Natural Vehicle Coalition.

Mr. Drummond has a B.S. from Nyack College and an M.B.A. from Dowling College. He has been ASE master certified for 25 years.

George Patchoros

George Patchoros
Instructor of Automotive Technology

George Patchoros has 12 years of field experience and has been an automotive instructor at BCC for three years. He came to BCC as an ASE certified technician and master certified with both Audi and Volkswagen. He has served on various advisement committees for the automotive program, and has contributed to the automotive technology program meeting its NATEF accreditation standards.

Mr. Patchoros has a B.S. in Secondary Education from SUNY Oswego. He has a degree in High Performance Engines and Chassis Fabrication from Wyoming Technical Institute.

Vincenzo Rigaglia

Vincenzo Rigaglia
Instructor of Automotive Technology

Vincenzo Rigaglia has 35 years of hands-on experience in the automotive field. He previously owned a general automotive repair shop that specialized in rebuilding automatic transmissions. Since 2004, he has been working as a consultant diagnostician for automotive shops in the tri-state area. Mr. Rigaglia received an A.A.S. from Westchester Community College and a B.S. from Nyack College. He is an ASE certified master technician.

Sal Cinquegrana

Sal Cinquegrana
Adjunct Instructor 

Sal Cinquegrana instructs students in the operation, inspection diagnosis and service of various automotive systems. He has over 35 years of experience in the automotive field as an auto mechanic, automotive instructor, and has been an ASE certified technician for over 25 years in the automobile and trucking industries.

Mr. Cinquegrana received his A.A.S. in Mechanical Technology from Queensboro Community College and B.S. in Occupational Education from NYIT. He is an ASE master certified auto technician and an ASE certified truck technician.

Henry Cordero

Henry Cordero
Instructor of Automotive Technology

Henry Cordero is an instructor in the Automotive Technology program at Bronx Community College and has over 23 years of teaching and automotive experience.  Previously, he managed a 150,000 square-foot facility and ground equipment at JFK International Airport. Mr. Cordero has also worked closely with KeySpan on its Natural Gas Vehicle Program that included inspections of taxis and city and private vehicle conversions. He worked in conjunction with NYSERDA on the New York City Taxi Program.

Mr. Cordero received his B.S. from Empire State College of the State University of New York. He is ASE certified from the General Motors SET Program.     

Jules Desrosiers Jr.

Jules Desrosiers Jr.
Adjunct Lecturer of Automotive Technology

Jules Desrosiers Jr. is an alumnus of Bronx Community College and has worked as an adjunct lecturer for five years. Mr. Desrosiers has been a Master Certified Lexus/Toyota Technician for eight years and a Lexus Diagnostic Specialist for the past two years. He holds an ASE master certification, has been a NYS certified inspector for twenty years, and holds over two decades of automotive experience. His greatest achievement is working as an instructor at BCC after he graduated from the program. Mr. Desrosiers has a strong sense of commitment and dedication to the students of BCC and enjoys giving back to the community that has provided him with educational and occupational success.

Mr. Desrosiers has a B.S. in Industrial Management from SUNY Farmingdale, an A.S. in Marketing from Nassau Community College, and an A.S. in Automotive Technology from Bronx Community College.

Alin Szabo

Alin O. Szabo
Instructor of Automotive Technology

Alin O. Szabo is an instructor in the Automotive Technology program at Bronx Community College. He has a vast knowledge of automotive engineering and is experienced in the management and technical aspects of the industry. Mr. Szabo is a master ASE certified technician and master GM world-class technician. He received his B.S. and A.A.S. from Farmingdale College.

Art Vatsky

Art Vatsky, PE
Instructor of Automotive Technology

In addition to his teaching responsibilities at Bronx Community College, Art Vatsky is the founder and principal of Future Fuels Consulting, a firm dedicated to finding appropriate fuel and technology solutions for vehicle fleets in the 21st century.  He is currently the project consultant for the Hunts Point Food Market Green Fleet Study. Mr. Vatsky has served as director of the North Jersey Clean Cities program; conducted hybrid bus evaluations for an EPA funded project; and provided planning information for Suffolk County, NY, transit.  He has spoken at SAE and ASME events and written articles for fleet industry magazines.

Mr. Vatsky received his B.S. from Brooklyn Polytechnic and M.S. from Rensselaer Polytechnic. He has a professional engineer license.
