BCC Names Andrea Pinnock as the New Interim Vice President of Administration and Finance

Andrea PinnockBronx Community College (BCC) announced the appointment of Andrea Pinnock as Interim Vice President of Administration and Finance, pending Board approval. In this expanded role, Ms. Pinnock will continue to serve on the President’s Strategy & Implementation Team while broadening her leadership portfolio in service of the College’s operational and fiscal priorities.

Ms. Pinnock will build upon her current responsibilities as Assistant Vice President for Finance and Business, assuming oversight of Physical Plant Services (PPS), Campus Planning, Environmental Health and Safety, Public Safety, and Campus and Auxiliary Services. She will continue to lead the College’s Business Office, which consists of Accounting and Related Entities, Accounts Payable, Budget, Bursar, Human Resources, Purchasing, Property Management and Receiving functions.

An accomplished leader with nearly 20 years of experience managing budgets and operations across the City University of New York (CUNY), Andrea has been a member of the BCC leadership team since August 2023. Her expanded role reflects the College’s commitment to integrated fiscal stewardship, operational excellence, and collaborative governance.

“I look forward to fostering meaningful collaboration across campus to deepen our impact and advance our mission in the lives of every student who walks through the gates of Bronx Community College,” Andrea said. “By working together, we can strengthen the systems that support student success.”

Andrea will prioritize fiscal stability, transparency, and institutional capacity-building. She emphasizes the importance of shared responsibility in financial decision-making across the College.

“The financial operations of Bronx Community College are a collective responsibility. Every decision carries budgetary implications, and through collective stewardship, we will ensure the College remains strong and well equipped to serve generations of students to come,” Andrea said.

Known for her solutions-oriented leadership approach, Andrea views challenges as opportunities for growth. “I maintain a positive outlook and consistently identify proactive, effective solutions to any challenges that may arise,” she said.

Andrea began her career in the New York City Mayor’s Office of Labor Relations, where she supported collective bargaining negotiations between the City and municipal unions. She joined CUNY in 2005 as a Budget Analyst at the City College of New York. She also served as Business Manager for Accounting and Business Operations at New York City College of Technology in Brooklyn.

She holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, both from Lehman College. Andrea is widely recognized for her strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, as well as her commitment to building trust and transparency in higher education administration.
