Bronx Community College President Dr. Johnson joined higher education leaders, counselors, and advocates from across the state at New York’s first-ever College Access Conference in Albany, convened alongside the announcement of the 2026 New York State College Access Awards by Governor Kathy Hochul.

The landmark conference brought together experts focused on expanding college opportunity, increasing FAFSA and TAP completion, and streamlining pathways to higher education success for students across New York. Through panel discussions and workshops, participants explored strategies to reduce barriers to college access and strengthen support systems for students and families.

Dr. Johnson’s participation as a panelist reflects BCC’s ongoing commitment to advancing equity in higher education and ensuring that all students have the resources and guidance needed to pursue their academic goals.
