BCC’s Radiologic Technology program has received an extension of its accreditation, increasing its term from five to eight years. The decision was made following a review at the April 17, 2026 meeting of the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).

The extension reflects the program’s full compliance with all accreditation standards and represents the maximum award granted by JRCERT. The program will submit an interim report in 2028, with its next site visit now scheduled for 2032.

JRCERT – the only agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation for radiologic sciences programs – noted the program’s adherence to national standards and commitment to quality education.

The committee also commended program leadership and faculty for their work in maintaining a strong and effective academic program that prepares students for careers in the radiologic sciences.
