Mobile Mammography Unit for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to unite in the fight against breast cancer and to promote early detection.

The Office of Health Services in collaboration with WomXn Up, African Students Association, Office of Student Diversity Initiatives and St. Barnabas Hospital is pleased to invite women aged 40 and above to a mammography event on Monday October 21st between 11am-2pm. This event aims to raise awareness and provide access to mammograms for those who may not have access to routine healthcare.

For the event to come to fruition, we need at least 10-15 women registered for the event before Thursday October 17th.

There will be no charge for women without health insurance.  Bring your health insurance cards if you have medical insurance on the date of the event. Metroplus is not accepted.

Who is eligible?

  • Women who are over the age of 40 and:
  • Who have never had a mammogram
  • Who have not had a mammogram in the past year
  • Who are not pregnant
  • Who do not have breast implants or breast problems
