Dr. Sara Brady is the Department Chairperson for Communication Arts and Sciences. She previously served as Deputy Chair. Dr. Brady is the author of Performance, Politics, and the War on Terror: ‘Whatever It Takes’ (Palgrave, 2012). With Lindsey Mantoan she has co-edited two anthologies: Performance in a Militarized Culture (Routledge, 2018) and Vying for the Iron Throne: Essays on Power, Gender, Death and Performance in HBO’s Game of Thrones (McFarland, 2019). Dr. Brady is the media editor for Richard Schechner’s textbook Performance Studies: An Introduction (Routledge, 2013) and is Managing Editor of TDR: The Journal of Performance Studies published by NYU and MIT Press. Dr. Brady holds a Ph.D. and an M.A.in Performance Studies from New York University.
