Carlos M. Camacho is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Social Sciences Department. Dr. Camacho has been teaching at Bronx Community College since 2011. He earned his PhD in Sociology at the CUNY Graduate Center. Dr. Camacho’s research interests are in race, sex, gender and sexuality, and religion. His dissertation specifically looks at Lucumí and LGBT practitioners. Dr. Camacho loves television and film and encourages all his students to improve their critical media literacy, something central to his classes.
