The seasonal favorite featured The Bronx Chorus and The Orchestra of the Bronx, with readings by members of the Bronx community.

BCC started the holiday season with a performance of Handel’s Messiah on Sunday, December 10 in the Roscoe Brown Student Center, Hall of Fame Playhouse.

The annual performance of Handel’s Messiah, under the direction of Michael Spierman, with four soloists, The Bronx Opera Chorus, The Orchestra of the Bronx and friends and citizens of the Bronx who recited the biblical passages that inspired the music, famous for its dazzling solos, pyrotechnical instrumental passages and the beloved “Hallelujah chorus.”
