A WEEK OF WELCOME

  Feature, News   •

From Wednesday, August 26 to Wednesday, September 2, incoming Broncos will enjoy the same “Week of Welcome” experienced by previous freshman and transfer students.

But in keeping with these socially distanced times, this year’s week will be online.

There will be three two-hour information sessions every weekday from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m., noon to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Student leaders will join staff and administrators from student support areas on Zoom, where anyone with questions about BCC and BCC life can drop in. It will be the virtual equivalent of previous years where such sessions were held around the campus.

New students and continuing students will be able to have a real time chat with BCC professionals about online services and offerings they will need during the fall semester.

“This welcoming week is as important as ever,” notes Associate Dean for Student Development Manny Lopez. “Over six days there will be 18 opportunities for students to ask questions of BCC professionals and students from the College where they will earn their degrees.”

And to celebrate their beginnings at Bronx Community College, students are invited to a Zoom party on September 4. See you there in your virtual best!
