Professor Andrew McInerney, a beloved member of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, passed away in December. In his honor, the Department has established The Andrew McInerney Award for Excellence in Mathematics. It will be awarded to a graduating mathematics major who has demonstrated high potential for achievement in math, as well as a desire to communicate its beauty and elegance to a broad audience.
