The TD Charitable Foundation of TD Bank has approved a $29,958 contribution to the Bronx Community College Department of Workforce Development and Continuing Education and its new Online Tutoring Team.

In collaboration with Public School 3 in the Bronx, Workforce Development’s CareerPath Teacher Assistant Training program will identify, recruit, train and deploy 15 Child Development Associates and BCC students to serve as online tutors to low-income pre-school and elementary school children. The goal of the program will be to reduce the impact of “COVID slide” for young children of low-income families in the borough. Staff and tutors will also involve parents in their children’s learning activities and help those parents develop skills to support their children’s learning all year round.​
