BCC Boasts Three Semi-Finalists for Nationally Competitive Scholarship

  Feature, News   •

BCC students Bright Tsagli, Angelica Naxi and Obed Gyedu have been chosen by the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation as 2019 Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship semi-finalists. They were selected from a pool of nearly 1,500 applicants attending 369 community colleges in 45 states and the District of Columbia. Winners receive up to $40,000 per year to transfer to a four-year institution of their choice, in addition to advisement and other support — making this scholarship both one of the most valuable and competitive in the country.

Cooke Transfer Scholars are selected based on exceptional academic ability and achievement, financial need, persistence, service to others and leadership. The recipients will be announced in April.

Good luck to all our semi-finalists!
