The baseball team captured the 2025 City University of New York Community College Championship against all odds, beating Kingsborough for the second time in the last 17 match-ups against the Waves during the regular season and for their first title since 2019.

“It was an incredible season, and I am so proud of our team and coaches,” said Director of Athletics Dionne Dodson. “I have such gratitude and appreciation for all of the hard work our coaches have put in – especially Coach Cuevas and Coach DeJesus – and the resilience of our student athletes.”

Dodson said the team, leading up to the championship, had just endured a grueling game schedule due to make-ups and necessary rescheduling. “They played four days in a row for three consecutive weeks heading into the competition. Their perseverance is admirable,” Dodson said.

This season marked BCC’s 13th CUNY title under Head Coach Adolfo DeJesus, who is currently wrapping up his 39th season at the helm (there was no season in 2021).
