BCC Students Win Awards at CUNY Research Symposium
Congratulations to our Bronx Community College CUNY Research Scholars Program (CRSP) students who participated in the CRSP Symposium at LaGuardia Community College.
Our students represented BCC with pride and professionalism – donning Bronco swag and showcasing exceptional research.
Research poster topics included:
- Natural disasters resilience in Jamaica
- The clinical effects of microdosing cannabis
- AI-based animal classification
- Neuronal dendrite and spine pathology
- Background radiation and environmental safety
- Micro-scale air pollution patterns in India
A heartfelt thank you to Professors Banks, Hilaire, and Reed-Sanchez, who attended the symposium, as well as to all of the dedicated mentors who guided the students throughout the year. Two students received special awards:

Special recognition also to Jingnan Chen, who, mentored by Dr. Diane Banks (Biological Sciences), represented BCC in the oral presentation session with their research titled “Small Doses, Big impact: Exploring Effects of Microdosing Cannabis for Clinical Symptoms.”
