December 3 was #BCCGivingTuesday, Bronx Community College’s part of the annual world-wide, daylong celebration of charitable giving that is observed across The City University of New York.

By midnight and the close of Giving Tuesday, BCC raised a stunning $184,920. That not only surpasses the amount BCC raised last year, when it was number one among CUNY community colleges, it makes the College the top fundraiser in the entire CUNY system.

Everyone in the BCC family made this achievement possible, from students to faculty to staff to alumni and of course our many friends.

If you haven’t had the chance to be a part of our festive observance of the true spirit of the season, you still have time to #HelpaBroncoGraduate, which is both the hashtag and the purpose of this charitable drive. You have until December 31 to contribute to the Giving Tuesday campaign and provide students with the resources and support they need to achieve their goal of a higher education degree.

There are three different ways you can do so:

1. Complete this form designating Bronx Community College for your bi-weekly payroll deduction contributions, then return the completed form to Philosophy Hall (PH), Room 26.
2. Make your gift by credit card online through the #BCCGivingTuesday site.
3. Write a check made payable to the BCC Foundation and bring it to PH26. President Isekenegbe is challenging the campus to raise at least $200,000 by New Year’s Eve. Help us keep our standing as CUNY’s greatest giver. You can also help the College set the CUNY-wide record for the number of individual donors.

Now is the time to put the “Community” in Bronx Community College. We’re off to a great start. With a little more Bronco determination, we can do even better!
