Dr. Seth Offenbach is a historian of modern American conservatism. He has taught at BCC since 2011 and he teaches HIS 10/11 Modern World History, HIS 20 The American People, and HIS 46 Cold War History. He is the HIS 20 coordinator and serves as the department representative to the College Senate and Faculty Council, in addition to serving on the Committee on Academic Freedom. Dr. Offenbach’s teaching style is to help provide as much individual assistance as needed for BCC students and to make learning fun and engaging. Dr. Offenbach’s book The Conservative Movement and the Vietnam War: The Other Side of Vietnam was published by Routledge Press in 2019. His historical research focuses on the relationship between foreign policy and domestic politics. Dr. Offenbach earned his PhD at Stony Brook University in 2010.joined the BCC faculty in 2007.  ​Fellowship Leave (Sabbatical) Spring 2024
