Barnhill, Marc

Professor Marc Barnhill teaches classes focused on Writing, Critical Thinking, Anti-racism, and African American Literature, and collaborates on projects with Racial Justice BK, Harlem Humanists, Women’s March Alliance, The Young Women’s Leadership Schools, New York Cares, The Rockefeller University, the New York Academy of Sciences, and New York City Skeptics. Over the years, he has trained students in culturally-conscious peer tutoring practices, taught academic readiness skills in the College For Kids program, designed and administered the Economic and Social Justice Internship Seminar at School for the Physical City, co-founded Bronx Guild High School in partnership with Outward Bound, served as Board President of the NYC branch of the Center For Inquiry, helped organize the Northeast Conference on Science and Skepticism, and produced the Skeptical Connections podcast. At Bronx Community College, he has served as a General Education Fellow, acting CUNY Proficiency Exam Liaison, and Faculty Advisor to the Secular Humanist Club.
