Carlson, Eric

Professor Carlson came to Bronx Community College from the University of Texas at Dallas where he co-developed and directed the university's Basic Course in hybrid and online modalities. In 2014 Professor Carlson was awarded Professor of the Year for the Honors Institute at Collin College. At BCC, Professor Carlson teaches Public Speaking and Interpersonal Communication. He holds a seat on the CUNY University Faculty Senate, serves on the college's Technology Oversight and Student Technology Fee Committees, and coordinates the departmental website. His office is a designated Safe Space. Professor Carlson’s research and teaching interests include Invitational Rhetoric and current developments and trends in the Basic Course. He holds a M.S. in Communication from Miami University.
