Dr. Kathrynn Di Tommaso has a Bachelor’s Degree in English from New York University and a Master’s Degree in English from Stanford University. She was a Fellow at the National Center for the Study of Adult Learning and Literacy at Harvard University where she earned a Master’s Degree and a Doctorate in Education. She focused her doctoral studies on the non-cognitive needs of writing students in community college settings. She has published numerous articles in effective pedagogical approaches and best practices in meeting the needs of at-risk college students. She has taught English and composition courses in community colleges since 1999 including colleges in the San Francisco Bay Area, in the Boston area, and in New York City. She joined the English Department at Bronx Community College in 2005.
