Mhlaba, Sibongile

Professor Mhlaba have been on the faculty of the History Department since 2001, first as an adjunct instructor, a substitute lecturer and a full-time lecturer. Prior to joining Bronx Community College, she was a lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe, Harare. Professor Mhlaba received her B.A. (Hons) degree in History from The University of Zimbabwe, M.A. in Middle Eastern Studies from the American University in Cairo, Egypt; and an M.A. in History from St. John’s University, NY. She teaches HIS 35 History of Africa (an elective), World Regional Geography and History of the Modern World.
