Rowan, Andrew

Andrew Rowan has been a lecturer in the Bronx Community College Department of English since Fall 2001. Previously, had he served as an adjunct lecturer in the department from Fall 1996 to Spring 2001. Professor Rowan coordinates the College’s participation in the Global Citizenship Alliance Seminar (Salzburg, Austria), and he teaches a themed advanced composition course on global civics for the Bronx Community College student Salzburg participants as well as an online version of the course for the CUNY SEEK and College Discovery cohort of students from 17 university institutions. A native of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, he was educated in the public school system there before enrolling at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he received the Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Moving to New York City, he received the Master of Arts in degree in English and American literature from New York University. Currently, he is a doctoral candidate at Creighton University (Omaha, Nebraska) in higher education leadership.
