Dr. Kathleen E. Urda is a Professor of English at BCC and Chairperson of the department. Her research and publications focus primarily on the eighteenth- and nineteenth-century British novel and the evolution of character within it. Dr. Urda has taught a variety of classes in her ten years at Bronx Community College, but her favorites are ENG 125, a British literature survey, and an ENG 111 learning community with HIS 10 that explores the relationship between literary works and major historical moments.
