Frame Forward CUNY Student Video Festival is the first of its kind at a CUNY college. The inaugural edition is launching this year from the City College of New York, offering a creative platform for all City University of New York (CUNY) students to depict their academic journeys and perspectives, regardless of their major. Lorena De Miranda Marques, Co-Founder and Director of this initiative, will be visiting Bronx Community College on Tuesday, February 25^th, 2025 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm in Roscoe C . Brown Student Center Playhouse to speak with our students and staff. We are pleased to offer this opportunity for students to creatively showcase their unique academic journey.

Festival Theme: “Student Life Through the Eyes of Those Living It.”

Length: Videos must be at least 20 seconds long and no longer than 3 minutes.

Regular Deadline: April 10, 2025

Late Deadline: April 30, 2025

Prizes:

• Screening at the 2025 The Americas Film Festival of New York (TAFFNY)
• A trophy recognizing their achievement
• $200 gift card

Submission Details:
Free and open to all CUNY students—any major, any campus!

• Collaboration: Students may collaborate with other CUNY students, and each student must be credited for their role in the project. Collaboration with non-CUNY students is not permitted.
• Categories: Students from across The City University of New York can submit to the CUNY category.
• Qualification: Students must be enrolled in at least one class during the Spring 2025 semester or have successfully completed at least one course in the Fall 2024 semester to qualify.
