The Tenth Annual BCC Faculty Day:

Scholarship for the Public Good

Friday, April 28, 2023

Dr. Nelson Flores

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Nelson Flores (UPenn), a scholar of the intersection of race and language in education.

What is Faculty Day?

Faculty Day is an opportunity for faculty, staff, and students of all departments to come together to share research, creative works, and pedagogical best practices to build cooperation at BCC.

Scholarship for the Public Good
How does your work impact, intersect, or address communities in BCC and beyond?

To support and enhance our own thriving community, this year’s Faculty Day will take place in a HyFlex modality. (Preference will be given to proposals for on-campus presentations.) Ideally, proposals should indicate how your work contributes to the theme of this year’s faculty day. Proposals that speak to an interdisciplinary audience are preferred, and while proposals focused on pedagogy are welcomed, proposals focusing on non-pedagogical work are also enthusiastically encouraged. Research presentations and posters, creative works (e.g., art, poetry, dance, scientific), and workshop proposals are all welcome.

Proposals should be submitted by Friday, March 31st by clicking this link.

Faculty Day is organized by the Committee on Instruction and Professional Development (CIPD) with the support of the Office of Academic Affairs and the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology (CTLT).
